Artist Statement
Urban Cocoon is a protective sitting device designed for the protestor in the Umbrella Movement in Hong Kong (2014). The form is inspired by barricades on the traffic road. It is a spatial device provide a space for protestors to have temporary rest meanwhile provide emergency protective shelter when needed.
