About
Urban Design Studies introduced and critically analyzed a broad range of concepts, ideas and theories that frame practices of urban design in a contemporary global context. Project types included new contemporary public spaces, future cities, eco-cities, transport-oriented design and infrastructure projects and formal and informal settlements.
Urban Interaction
This project provided opportunities to learn how to manipulate urban experiences and also how to communicate ideas through a video, extending skills in communication and expanding understanding of the importance of human spatial relationships.

Do I belong here?
This project is to experiment people’s perception on a space and how they influence by their perception. Our group used three random paintings to create an ‘art work’ and put it in different public spaces in Melbourne CBD. We wonder how would people ‘’see’ this art differently in different public spaces. Public spaces we experimented include, The National Gallery of Victoria: A place of fine arts Federation Square: A place to meet Hosier Lane: A place of street art Carlton Garden: A place to relax From the experiment, it seemed people only ‘saw’ the art in spaces where they would expect to see it. Our own perception confined the way we can experience the spaces. Are we therefore missed a lot of possibilities of enjoying different spaces in city? This is a group project co-worked with Nicolas Sebastian, Mark Grace, Paul Summers, Jeanette Tagal and Nadiah Zainal.
